The objective of the project is to introduce gender responsive budgeting in Ukraine in accordance with the current system of public financial management. The project implementation period is 2014-2020.
The implementation of GRB in Ukraine is led by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. In addition to the Ministry of Finance, the Project also cooperates with line ministries, regions/rayons and cities, as well as other partners. The main principle of the implementation of GRB in Ukraine is based on the use of the best international practice, supporting gender budget analysis and improving programs financed from the budget, and then amending the legal framework to integrate the GRB approach to the budget process in Ukraine.
